This study aims to determine the achievement of the formation of the scientific attitude of students of the biology education study program at the Islamic University of Riau. The scientific attitude of students is formed through practical activities in making simplicia. To achieve this goal, a study was conducted on students taking courses in medicinal plants, namely class 4B, totaling 34 students for the 2017/2018 academic year. This type of research uses descriptive methods with observation data collection techniques, research instruments developed based on student scientific attitude indicators in practicum, namely curiosity, discipline, sense of responsibility, level of accuracy, cooperation, confidence. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study found that the scientific attitudes of students in the practice of making simplicia have been formed in the implementation of simplicia manufacturing with the following explanation, 4) the attitude of accuracy in good categories, 5) the level of cooperation in good kateogri, 6) and students' self-confidence in kateogri is good. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the formation of scientific attitudes of students in practicum making simplicia has been achieved in good categories
